                 দুইটি গরু ও বাঘ,:-

এক বনের ভিতর একটি নদী ছিল, নদীর পাশে ছোট্ট একটি টিলা ছিল, টিলার পাদদেশে সবুজ ঘাসে ভরা ছোট্ট একটি মাঠ ছিল। মাঠে চড়ে বেড়াত দুইটি গরু, গরু দুইটি দেখতে বেশ নাদুস-নুদুস ছিল, বেশ শক্তিশালীও ছিল, তাদের ভিতরে ছিল বেশ বন্ধুত্ব, একজন আরেক জনের বিপদে সবসময় এগিয়ে আসত। দু'জন মনের সুখে মাঠের ঘাস খেত, অার খেলা করত।

কিন্তু সমস্যা ছিল একটি- এই মাঠের ঘাস দিয়ে তাদের ছয়মাস চলত, তাই বাকি ছয়মাস খাওয়ার জন্য তাদেরকে- টিলা, নদী পার হয়ে ওপার যেতে হত। অনেক কষ্ট হত সেখানে যেতে, তবুও দুই বন্ধু মিলে-মিশে আনন্দ করতে করতে যেত।

এই বনে একটি বাঘ ছিল, নাদুস-নুদুস গরু দুইটি দেখে তার খুব লোভ হত, কিন্তু সে জানত শক্তিশালী দুইটি গরু বিরুদ্ধে একা পেরে উঠবে না, তাই লোভ সামলিয়ে রাখত। বাঘটি লোভ সামলিয়ে রাখলেও সে সর্বদা ভাবত- কি করে গরু দুইটি ভোগ করা যায়।

একদিন বাঘটি দেখল- গরু দুইটি মাঠের দুই প্রান্তে, সে এই সুযোগ নিল, বাঘটি বনের পাশের প্রান্তে থাকা গরুটির কাছে গেল- খুব বিনয়ের সাথে নানান কথা বলে ভাব জমিয়ে ফেলল, তারপর জিজ্ঞাসা করল-এই মাঠের ঘাস তাদের কয়মাস চলে-

গরুটি বলল- ছয়মাসের মত। বাঘটি বলল-বাকি ছয়মাস নিশ্চই খুব কষ্ট করে নদীর ওপার যেতে হয়-

গরুটি হ্যাঁসুচক মাথা নাড়াল। বাঘটি এইবার তার কু-বুদ্ধি প্রয়োগ করল, বাঘটি গরুটিকে বলল- তুমি চাইলে এই মাঠে সারা-বছর আনন্দে খেয়ে যেতে পার, গরুটি বিস্ময়ভাবে বাঘটির দিকে তাকাল-তারপর জানতে চাইল কিভাবে!

বাঘটি তাকে সুচতুরভাবে বুঝাল, তোমার বন্ধুটিকে যদি আমি মেরে নিয়ে যাই তাহলে তুমি আনন্দে সারা-বছর এখানে কাটাতে পারবে, কষ্ট করে ওপার আর যেতে হবে না। গরুটি প্রথমে প্রতিবাদ করলেও বাঘটির চতুরাতার কাছে হেরে গেল, লোভ ও তাকে খুব পেয়ে বসল, পিছে না ভেবে রাজী হয়ে গেল।

বাঘটি আনন্দে আত্নহারা হয়ে অপার পাশের গরুটিকে আক্রমন করল, গরুটি বাঁচার জন্য তার বন্ধু সাহায্য চেয়ে চিত্কার দিল, কিন্তু বন্ধুটি না শুনার ভান করে খেয়ে যেতে লাগল। বাঘ গরুটি নিয়ে বনের ভিতর চলে গেল, এক মাস আরাম-আয়াশে খেয়ে আবার ফিরে এল, এসে দেখে এই গরুটি আরও বেশি নাদুস-নুদুস হয়েছে- বাঘ গরুটির উপর হামলিয়ে পড়ল, গরুটি বাঘের দেওয়া প্রতিশ্রুতি মনে করিয়ে দিল- বাঘ শুধু মুচকি মুচকি হাসতে থাকল, গরুটির কানে তখন তার বন্ধুর সেই করুণ চিত্কার বার বার আসতে লাগল।

দীক্ষা: "অতিথি বন্ধুর মিষ্টি কথায় সর্বদা পাশে থাকা বন্ধুকে ভুলে যাওয়া মানে, নিজেকে নিজেই ভুলে যাওয়া আর লোভ সর্বদা বিপদ ডেকে আনে।

 There was a river inside a forest, there was a small hill next to the river, at the foot of the hill there was a small field full of green grass. There were two cows roaming in the field, the two cows were very strong to look at, they were also very strong, they had a lot of friendship inside them, one was always ahead of the other in danger. The two of them happily ate grass in the field and played.

 But there was a problem - they had to walk on the grass of this field for six months, so they had to cross the hills and rivers to eat the remaining six months. It was hard to go there, but the two friends could still have fun together.

 There was a tiger in this forest, he was very greedy when he saw two Nadus-Nadus cows, but he knew that he would not be able to fight against two strong cows alone, so he controlled his greed. Even though the tiger managed to control his greed, he always wondered how two cows could be eaten.

 One day he saw a tiger - two cows at the two ends of the field. He took this opportunity. The tiger went to the cow at the other end of the forest.

 The cow said- about six months. The tiger said, "The rest of the six months must be very difficult to cross the river."

 The cow shook her head laughing. This time the tiger applied his evil intellect, the tiger said to the cow- you can eat happily in this field all year round if you want, the cow looked at the tiger in amazement- then he wanted to know how!

 The tiger cleverly explained to him that if I killed your friend, you would be able to spend the whole year here happily, without having to go through hardships. The cow protested at first, but lost to the tiger's cunning.

 The tiger, overjoyed, attacked the cow on the other side, his friend screamed for help to save the cow, but the friend pretended not to hear and ate it. The tiger went into the forest with the cow, ate comfortably for a month and came back again. When he came, he saw that the cow had become more and more plump. The tiger attacked the cow. The cow reminded him of the promise made by the tiger. The cow's ears then began to hear the pitiful cry of his friend again and again.
